How is an ExpresS-Lift different from a traditional facelift?

If you would like to reduce the signs of aging, but have some concerns about the traditional facelift, you may want to consider an Express Lift. The Express Lift is an effective alternative, as it gives you better results with less downtime. But how is an Express Lift different from a traditional facelift.

What is an ExpresS-Lift?
The ExpressLift is a minimal incision facelift. The technique is so named because of the relatively short recovery time it requires.  It is now widely performed in the US, including at the Langdon Center for Laser & Cosmetic Surgery.

The Express Lift targets the mid-face region, as well as sagging in the jowls and neck. The Express Lift takes 3-4 hours to complete.  Some improvement can be seen within a few days of the procedure.

How does the ExpresS-Lift differfrom the traditional facelift?
The results achieved with the Express Lift look more natural, and the recovery time is also shorter.

The Express Lift uses a different technique to the one used for the traditional facelift, and this accounts for the more natural looking outcome. Both procedures work to tighten the sagging fascia and muscle layers below the surface of the skin. With the Express Lift the vertical lift of the fascia is more distinctive, and this avoids the stretched or swept back look associated with the traditional facelift.

The incision for the ExpresS-Lift is also shorter, and this results in a less noticeable scar. The use of local anesthesia for the procedure also helps to minimize swelling and bruising, resulting in less downtime.
